Vespa PX125 Engine Model Year 2017: Brand New and Ready to Install
Description: This brand-new engine is from the Vespa PX125 series, model year 2017. It is a complete original Piaggio engine from the last production series, which was reissued in 2011. The engine features a modern ignition system and is ready to be used with a catalytic converter exhaust. Both components can be easily replaced with parts from older models if needed. The core engine corresponds to the models before 2011.
Compatibility: The engine can also be installed in older vehicles, such as a Vespa Sprint. The existing oil pump for automatic two-stroke oil mixing can be deactivated, allowing the vehicle to run with a conventional 1:50 oil/gasoline mixture.
Quality Testing: All engines have been tested on Piaggio's in-house test benches. A corresponding test protocol is included.
Adjustments: If the engine is to be operated without a catalytic converter, we recommend a slight adjustment of the carburetor jets.
Scope of Delivery:
Notes:
Transmission Oil: The engine is delivered without any operating fluids (gasoline/oil). Transmission oil (250 ml) must be filled before initial operation.
Mixing Oil (2-Stroke Oil): If the engine is to be operated with the factory-installed oil pump for automatic two-stroke oil mixing, please use a 1:50 oil/gasoline mixture for the first tank filling. This ensures the oil pump is bled and the engine is properly lubricated. If the oil pump is not used, it can be deactivated, and the engine can be permanently operated with a 1:50 oil/gasoline mixture.
