Key set hardened Fabbri Racing suitable for Vespa Smallframe
Key set for the grooves of crankshaft and auxiliary shaft. Hardened version which prevents crushing of the original very soft half-moons/keys.
NOTE: This set does not provide a remedy for constantly shearing parallel keys of pole wheels/clutches. The parallel key should not and must not transmit any moments of force. The force connection is always realized via the existing cone and/or the contact surface of the components. A sheared off crescent is always only an indicator for an insufficient frictional connection of the components. The solution is therefore always to improve the accuracy of fit of the surfaces to each other. The simplest aid is valve grinding paste from 4-stroke engine construction. This is a paste-like corundum with which a cone can be ground perfectly onto each other. Simply apply the paste between the components and move them against each other (rotate). A matt grey colour shows whether the components are wearing comprehensively. If not, repeat the process. Important: Afterwards, remove any residue of the grinding paste Possible paste residues can otherwise make disassembly of the components extremely difficult.
