UNI AUTO LAMBRETTA ENGINE PARTS
UNI Auto is an Indian family business that started trading in spare parts in 1992 in New Delhi and has been producing these spare parts in very good quality for some time now.
In the mid-1980s, mechanical engineer A. K. Mittal quit his job in a foundry and founded Uni Auto Enterprises. The aim of UNI Auto was to supply the domestic market with spare parts for the Lambro. In the early nineties, 1992 to be precise, the year Scooter Center was founded, Manish Mittal, the son of A. K., joined the family business and shifted the focus towards Lambretta and set his sights on an international market.
We have been working with UNI Auto since the 90s. With the future of SIL (= Scooter Limited India) becoming more and more uncertain, UNI Auto saw and seized the opportunity to bring some standard castings in optimised quality to the market. The Lambretta parts are produced using the die-casting process, which is more costly, but also offers a better structure of the casting and a nicer appearance.
