Complete cylinder kit including exhaust and special crankshaft
Pinasco offers with the 206cc cylinder the possibility to increase a conventional PX80, PX125 or PX150cc engine to 206cc displacement without having to modify the engine case. The large bore of Ø66mm can be used since the cylinder does not have a conventional cylinder base. The Pinasco is completely planar at the cylinder base gasket face, no cylinder shroud dips into the engine case.
Instead, an extra long connecting rod is used (127mm instead of 105mm). This trick allows the piston to sit further up than usual. The cylinder has been designed to match. This way the whole overflow system is in the cylinder which is why the engine block does not have to be adapted to the large overflow ports.

The cylinder is designed as a powerful touring cylinder with sporty potential.
The exhaust included with the kit allows for a wide rpm range without having to rev the engine far for powerful torque.
Thus, the kit remains inconspicuous and, provided the engine is controlled via the rotary valve intake as it is from the factory, is also very quiet on the intake side. Adapting and modifying the rotary slide intake elicits even more performance from the engine. As usual with sporty engines, it is recommended to bring the intake angle to approx. 105-120° before top dead center and 60-75° after top dead center (milling) top dead center = top dead center of the piston). The smaller the intake angle, the less problematic the tuning and the more smoothly the engine can be run. A large intake angle results in more surface area and allows more power and torque over the entire rpm range, but can be a bit 'bitchier' under unfavorable driving conditions.
The cylinder can alternatively be run with the optional diaphragm intake. This is independent of a control of the mixture inlet via the crankshaft. A corresponding diaphragm intake kit is in preparation from Pinasco.
For both variants we offer very high quality cylinder covers from BSK. This eliminates the otherwise necessary adaptation work of an original hood (the original hood must be extended, the BSK fits plug&play).
