Description

SILENTGUMMIS BGM PRO FOR MOTOR CASE PIAGGIO VNA, VNB, VBB AND MOTOVESPA

The engine cases of the early Piaggio Largeframe engines, as well as the Motovespa Largeframe models, are equipped with their own type of Silentgummi for the motor traverse. The BGM PRO Silentgummis match the dimensions of the original, no longer available traverse rubbers perfectly.
  • Replaces the original Motovespa Silentgummis in the engine case (front) 1:1

  • Set for left and right sides

  • Comfortable rubber mixture with sporty ambitions

  • Easy assembly/disassembly

  • Professional quality

  • Relevant for the TÜV inspection

  • Fits the Italian engine blocks of early Largeframe models: Vespa VNA, VBA, VBB1T (up to engine number 42404), VNB1T, VNB2T (up to engine number 15417)

  • Fits the Spanish Motovespa Largeframe models: Motovespa 125L (V101M), 125N (542M), 125N (V101M), 125N (V60M), 125S (V60MS), 150F (V203M), 150GS (04M), 150L (V202M), 150S (502M), 150S (V201M), 150Sprint (04M), 160 (09M)

The rubber mixture was chosen (approx. 45 SHA) to combine a good ride comfort with precise rear wheel guidance, according to the wider contact area in the engine case of the Motovespa. This results in high driving safety and directional stability. It is simply replaced 1:1 with the original Silent blocks.

These are merely inserted into the engine case, but can, over the course of (usually) decades, become quite tight in the case. There are special tool sets for the assembly/disassembly of silent rubber blocks for the motor traverse. However, these are not necessary and are designed for use with the complex Silentgummi type (with individual rubbers, bushings, and crimped metal rings) of Vespa Largeframe models with engines up to 150cc (e.g., VBB, Sprint, PX, etc.).

ASSEMBLY TIPS
The old original Motovespa rubbers can be made more flexible with some heat and spray oil, then gently pried out with a screwdriver. Afterward, clean and degrease the case and apply some talcum powder to both the new rubbers and the case (do not oil). The new rubbers can then be gently driven into the case with a plastic hammer. In stubborn cases, you can also preload the rubbers with a threaded rod passing through both rubbers, and let it sit for a few hours. This will also release the last bit of tension in the rubber, and the engine will fit back into its place without slight frame spreading.
