Gearbox parts from Stefano Benelli rightly enjoy a very good reputation in the racing scene. Anyone looking for reliable racing technology for their gearbox will find it here.
Hardened to an average 60 HRC, Benelli parts offer just the perfect balance of sufficient hardness and necessary elasticity to withstand the enormous stresses in a race engine over the long term. Benelli offers a reinforced primary kit for the Vespa large frame engines with wide primary wheel (from about 1965).

This offers some special features:

  • Bolted cover plate =no riveting necessary!

  • very large selection of reduction ratios = ultra short (3,25) to ultra long (2,40)
  • clutch pinion for clutch type PX old (6/7springs) = therefore suitable for clutches from Kingwelle or Crimaz CMX

Included are the original primary springs of the PX200 models.

For powerful engines we recommend reinforced primary springs that meet the high torque of a revised engine. These go, unlike original springs, no longer on block. This means that the springs are not completely compressed but still have sufficient spring travel. Thus, load peaks are no longer introduced into the transmission and the components are protected despite higher engine power. The primary kit is delivered ready for installation and has a screwed reinforced cover for the primary springs.
The other side is closed, i.e. this was manufactured with the pinion from the solid.

ASSEMBLY NOTE
If the set is used in a Malossi engine case (VR-One / V-One) this must be slightly exposed at the bearing seat of the large crankshaft bearing.
Otherwise the primary will touch the reinforced bearing seat of the Malossi engine cases.
