Crankcase diameter
If a crankshaft from Kingwelle with extra long stroke (up to 65mm instead of 57mm series) is used, it is necessary to increase the diameter of the crankcase to be able to mount the crankshafts with their larger cheek diameter. This is already done by Kingwelle on the case offered here.
LIGHT MACHINE SIDE BEARING SEAT
In the same step, the bearingseat of the light machine side bearing is reworked. Malossi was a bit too good with the undersize for the bearing fit. 7/100mm undersize usually leads to a very tight running bearing. Kingwelle reduces the undersize to 0.040-0.045mm. RECOMMENDATION NU205 C3
An additional recommendation is to use a two-piece roller bearing of the NU205 type with bearing clearance C3. This makes the assembly of the engine halves much more comfortable than with the one-piece ball bearing supplied by Malossi. Kingwelle expressly recommends the use of such a bearing type (see accessories).
