The early PX models from 1978-1984, where the ignition and steering lock are still separate, can also be converted to this type of fork. For installation on the early models, a small slot is milled into the fork steerer tube to accommodate the steering lock. Perfectionists close the crescent-shaped cut-out for the Lusso steering lock in advance using a welding machine.
