Malossi engine cases are the first choice for building a powerful and reliable engine for the Vespa Largeframe models.
The engine case offered here features the extra sturdy Kingshaft with 62mm stroke and 116mm 'Made in Japan' connecting rod.

The longer connecting rod (+6mm) allows you to set the cylinder's head angle to suit your own engine design without having to turn the cylinder off.
In addition, the longer conrod improves the conrod ratio, which is important for the smooth running of the engine.

This crankshaft is perfect for Malossi Sport/MHR 210/221 cylinders.

Crankcase diameter
If a crankshaft from Kingwelle with extra long stroke (up to 65mm instead of 57mm series) is used, it is necessary to increase the diameter of the crankcase to be able to mount the crankshafts with their larger cheek diameter. This is already done by Kingwelle on the case offered here.

BEARING SEAT LIGHT ENGINE SIDE
In the same step the bearingseat of the light engine side bearing is reworked. Malossi was a bit too good with the undersize for the bearing fit. 7/100mm undersize usually leads to a very tight running bearing. Kingwelle reduces the undersize to 0.040-0.045mm. RECOMMENDATION NU205 C3
An additional recommendation is the use of a two-piece roller bearing of the type NU205 with the bearing clearance C3. This makes the assembly of the engine halves much more comfortable than with the one-piece ball bearing supplied by Malossi.
