VMC states that the GS 55 is currently the most powerful cast iron cylinder of this displacement on the market. This makes it possible to either further tune an existing 125cc engine and still remain within the displacement limit suitable for the driver's license. Likewise, this cylinder can also be used to convert the 50-80cc engines to 125cc, in order to approve them by an individual acceptance (TÜV/DEKRA) for use on public roads. NOTE: Since the cylinder is designed for high power output, it has a generous overflow area at the base of the cylinder. Therefore, minor machining of the crankcase is required for installation.
