From now on there is BIG EVO for the Vespa Smallframe. This means a whopping 152cc for the stock engine cases of the Smallframe models like V50, 50N, PV, ET3, PK etc.
With Ø60mm bore and 54mm stroke and already very ambitious head angles right out of the box, the Polini is a serious contender for the track.
Based on the very successful Polini EVO 133, Polini has put together a complete package based on cylinder, crankshaft and exhaust created for performance above 30hp.

INLET KITS

The kit includes the complete intake system, consisting of large diaphragm inlet, intake manifold and connecting rubber. The 6-flap diaphragm is equipped with 0.4mm thick plate material. The intake manifold is designed to be used with a Ø34mm carburetor cross-section (carburetor connection size of the rubber is Ø44-45mm). Modifications may be necessary in the frame cutout area for the carburetor.

PISTONS
The kit uses the well known Asso piston from the Polini Aprilia AF1 kit, as already used by FALC Racing in their 153cc cylinders (we can highly recommend the very high quality Ø60mm Wössner piston from Overrev as an alternative).

CURB SHAFT
Any shaft with 54mm stroke and 105mm connecting rod length can be used as crankshaft. The connecting rod length not only benefits the better connecting rod ratio but also reduces the necessary housing adjustments for the overflow ports to a minimum.

SPINDLES
The engine case must be spindled to accommodate the required 54mm stroke crankshaft. Likewise, the receptacle for the cylinder base must be widened to Ø65.3mm with 21mm depth.

CYLINDER HEAD
The cylinder head is additionally, to the conventional screw connection over the continuous (longer, enclosed) cylinder stud bolts, screwed with 4 screws.

CONCLUSION: Very interesting alternative for normal engine cases to the often unavailable FALC Racing cylinders. Who is looking for performance in the range clearly above 25HP, will find it here!
