UPDATE
Polini has given the well-tried 207cc cast iron cylinder a successful update. The cylinder now has a very stable and streamlined piston from Meteor (Italy). Visually, this is hardly distinguishable from its apparent role model from Bologna whereby Polini quasi now offers the popular Polossi in scene circles feil (here was implanted in expert hand the old Polini kit (with only Ø68.0mm bore) by drilling out the piston of the Malossi 210 kit (Ø68.5mm) to improve the durability). Also new is now the enclosed cylinder head of the Polini 210 Aluiminium Kit. Through both measures, the cast iron cylinder now achieves an extremely improved durability even under full load. The kit is hardly inferior to the aluminum cylinder in everyday performance.

Also positive is that Polini has not changed the layout of the scavenging. The buffalo-like character of the Polini is therefore still preserved and will certainly still find many friends. The Polini is and remains ideal for original and little worked on engines. Here he can score with his early and high torque. This makes it ideal for those who place a lot of emphasis on pulling power, durability (through low revs) and low consumption.
The Polini 210ccm cast iron is ideal for all those who want to make a cheap but effective 'plug tuning'. This means that except for the cylinder change and possibly another exhaust, no other changes are made to the engine (ignition and carburetor settings are of course also mandatory here according to instructions). Power values around 15HP as well as a final speed of real 105-110km/h (depending on the gear ratio) are realistic. The main discipline of the Polini cylinders is their strong pulling power from the lowest revs. The engine clearly gains in sovereignty and torque.
CONCLUSION
The Polini is a safe bet. It offers a lot of riding fun without shortening the life of the engine. The cast iron version is less expensive than its aluminum counterpart and, thanks to the new piston/cylinder head, is also suitable for tough everyday use. A PX200 with Polini cylinder feels like a (unfortunately never built) PX250. As an exhaust, Polini offers an ideal complement with their 'Original Box'.
