Compared to conventional brake lines, SPIEGLER steel braided lines use an extremely age-resistant inner core made of PTFE (Teflon®). For mechanical protection and to improve the pressure point, it is enclosed in a braided stainless steel mesh.
BENEFITS
The brake pressure can go nowhere with such a line except to the brake caliper. The pressure point is clearly defined, the feedback at the brake lever is absolutely direct. This is the main reason why racing cars have been using such lines for a long time. The brake feeling is much better and makes the driver safer.
BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE
Cars from the Piaggio Group sometimes also use lines that are already coated with steel mesh, but the actual line is not made of PTFE.
Therefore, the original lines are not comparable with the SPIEGLER steel flex lines offered here, neither in terms of pressure point nor aging resistance.
COLOUR
We offer the lines with an additional sheathing made of UV-resistant PVC. This allows the high-quality brake line to be additionally matched to the vehicle colour or as a contrast to it.
VARIANTS
We offer the brake lines both for vehicles with standard brake components and for converted vehicles with Brembo/Frando brake callipers. Furthermore, there are different line versions for vehicles with or without ABS.

A DOT4 or DOT5.1 can be used
The DOT5.1 (not 5.0!) can also be mixed with DOT4. DOT5.1 has a better viscosity at low temperatures which makes it very suitable for vehicles with ABS.
